Press release – The collaboration between Auxologico Meda Riabilitazione, the modern rehabilitation and sports medicine center of Auxologico IRCCS located in Corso della Resistenza, and Ortholabsport, one of the most renowned sports orthopedic companies specialized in the creation of insoles, carbon orthoses, braces and custom-made protections for professional and amateur athletes, begins in February 2023.
At Auxologico Meda Rehabilitation, static analyses of foot support, dynamic analyses of walking and running, and postural assessments aimed at creating custom-made insoles can be performed by Ortholabsport orthopedic technicians.
The service, which will make use of high-tech equipment, will be provided privately.
To book a consultation, you can contact the Auxologico Single Booking Center or directly in Meda at the office at Corso della Resistenza, 23.
"Auxologico's mission has always been to provide the most up-to-date, effective, and personalized healthcare, applying the advances of scientific research to diagnostic and hospital operations," says Stefano Rusconi, Outpatient Operations Manager for the Lombardy Region at Auxologico. "This is why we are proud to offer our customers this new, highly qualified service in partnership with a nationally and internationally recognized organization like Ortholabsport."
"Our professional expertise in orthopedics and posturology, developed over 25 years of practice, allows us to provide specialized technical advice, supported by cutting-edge, next-generation equipment," explains Alessandra Sestini, CEO of Ortholabsport. "Physical well-being is the primary objective of Ortholabsport's scientific and orthopedic activities. However, the combination of carefully conducted analyses, research, and measurements allows, in addition to injury prevention, also a significant improvement in sports performance, as evidenced by the results achieved by the numerous sports champions with whom we have had the pleasure of collaborating for several years."
On the day of the appointment, the patient must present a medical prescription for the custom-made insole (the prescription is valid for one year from the date of issue), bringing any old insole (if already made previously) and the most frequently used shoe in which to insert the daily insole (in the case of a sports insole, the sports shoe currently in use).
For a correct evaluation, it is necessary to bring the reports of specialist visits (orthopedics, physiatry, sports medicine, diabetes, rheumatology, etc.).
Following the assessment, Ortholabsport operators will inform the patient when to come to Meda to collect the insole (which will be custom-made at Ortholabsport's central laboratory in Milan).
Static and dynamic analyses of walking and running, however, do not require any medical prescription.
